A few days ago I mentioned my 1999 road trip. Another result of that trip came at the end. I ended in San Diego attending a fantasy football draft, the CFFL league. As a football fan, I thought it was pretty awesome. I headed back home ready to start our new league, EDSFFL. A couple years later I even joined the CFFL.
I did really well the first several years of the EDSFFL. My team, Sharks With Frickin' Laser Beams Attached To Their Heads, was regularly in the playoffs, I went to the championship several times, and won the league twice. My success has been... less so in the CFFL, though I proudly have won it once with my team Clobberin' Time.
The biggest problem is that I probably root for actual football teams less now than I did before. My team wins? Whatever. How did my fantasy players do?
